Ole Christian Madsen's film Itsi Bitsi will be shown in the ZFF's main program on Wednesday, 22 October at 17:00. The screening of this Danish-Croatian-Swedish co-production, made on numerous locations in Croatia, will be enhanced by the presence of Danish Royal Couple – Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Prince Consort Henrik of Denmark. The film depicts the days of the counterculture movement in Scandinavia. It will be shown out of competition.

The director and some of the film crew will also attend the screening: producer Lars Bredo Rahbek and actors Marie Tourell Soederberg, Joachim Fjelstrup and Anette Stoevelbaek. Tomorrow – Thursday – the film will be discussed as part of the Danes Go South panel in the Zagreb Dance Center.

The first Ethiopian film at ZFF will be shown at 20:00. It is Difret, by Zeresenaye Berhane Mehari. The winner of the audience awards at this year's Sundance and Berlinale was inspired by a true event. Tackling the old Ethiopian custom of kidnapping a woman one wants to marry, the film also deals with the status of women in the modern Ethiopian society.

The third film in the main program today is Benedikt Erlingsson's feature film Of Horses And Men. It is made up of six interconnected black-humor fables (it's original Icelandic title literally means "a horse in us"). It will be presented by its lead actor Ingvar E. Sigurdsson. Mario Kozina will host the Q&A session with him after the screening.
