Zagreb Film Festival’s film program consists of main competition program and several side film programs.

 

Main competition program has three categories:

debut (first or second) films by the directors in a category of international feature film,

debut (first or second) films by the directors in a category of international short film

and short films of new Croatian directors in Checkers program.

The films will be competing for the festival's main award, Golden Pram, designed by Nedjeljko Mikac. The best authors in every category will also receive a money award.

 

 

Feature Films

The feature film competition program (Cinema Europa, Cinema Tuškanac) presents directors' first and second feature-length fiction films competing for Golden Pram Award. The director of the best film by the jury's choice will also receive the amount of EUR 4,000.

Short film competition program (Cinema Europa, Cinema Tuškanac) presents short fiction films competing for Golden Pram for Best Short Fiction Film. The director of the best short film will also receive the amount of EUR 1,000.

Checkers is the national competition program of short films that primarily promotes young and aspiring authors who have not made their feature-length films yet. The program dates back to the festival's beginnings and it includes premieres of short films by Croatian filmmakers...
