At 10pm, Tuškanac Cinema and its Together Again program are bringing Italian director Matteo Garrone on the big screen with Tale of Tales, an eerie fairy-tale triptych starring Salma Hayek.
Tale of Tales is the first English-speaking film by the double Cannes Grand Prix winner Matteo Garrone, whose film Reality was shown at the 10th ZFF. His latest work is a fantastic fairy-tale based on a collection of 17th century stories. Eccentric outbursts of power by domineering sovereigns, benevolent witches, monsters, transformations and evil queens link these stories in a captivating and disturbing experience.
Day two in The Great 5 section features 10 000 Kilometres at 6pm, Tuškanac Cinema, a story about Aleksandra and Sergio, a couple trying to keep their love alive via a laptop screen while she is in LA and he is in Barcelona. 10 000 Kilometres is Carlos Marquez-Marcet’s feature debut, which earned him a Goya Award for best new director.
