The Together Again section at Tuškanac Cinema, 10pm, is screening the latest film by the 20008 ZFF jury special mention winner, Rodrigo Plá. His new film, a chilling socio-political thriller about the battle of individual against the system, A Monster with a Thousand Heads, won the best director award in Warsaw.
This politically gripping, intelligent and dynamic thriller is one of three (next to Neon Bull and From Afar) outstanding Latin American works in this year’s Zagreb Film Festival program. The authors are the Uruguayan married and creative couple, director Rodrigo Plá and writer, novelist Laura Santullo.
The Great 5 at Tuškanac at 6pm shows Oliver Hirschbiegel’s new film. The famous German director of The Downfall in which he portrayed the final hours of the Nazi leader in his new film tells the story of Georg Elser, the German carpenter who tried to assassinate Hitler in 1939. 13 Minutes sheds a razor’s edge light on the backdrop to the courageous and solitary act of an outstanding individual. The film will be presented to the audience by writer Fred Breinersdorfer.
